Conservatism in Crisis

Almost every era of human history has been plagued by evil. There have been groups so sinister, that their only goal is to hurt the innocent. Nazi Germany, Joseph Stalin’s Soviet Union, Pol Pot’s Cambodian Empire, and the Mao Dynasty in China to name a few. Besides the horrific actions that these groups performed, there is one thing that they all have in common: They have all been defeated. Time and time again mankind has proven that good triumphs over evil and that these horrible groups can not survive. However, we are on the dawn of a new era and a new evil has arisen. Now this evil has been around for centuries, but it has just started becoming more and more of a threat to us all. That evil is Radical Islamic Terrorism, and the face of this philosophy is the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq, otherwise known as ISIS.
