We have never been more divided as a country. We are on the brink of Civil War and there seems to be no end in sight. You have on one end, racist, intolerant, evil people protesting for hate. On the other end, you have vigilantes who resort to violence to create peace - hurting the structure of our society and putting lives in danger. Neither side is right, and both must be condemned thoroughly. Now, we have a President who refuses to condemn the alt-right. A President who is adding fuel to this side of the fire. Then America has a large group, the media and the Democratic Party's establishment, not condemning the alt-left, but instead promoting and glorifying it. This blog post, will hopefully help show the major hole in the Democratic Party's public image, and in the process, show that "Love Trumps Hate" is not always as it seems.
This is purely my own theory, based on the work done by numerous conservative writers, with one in particular.
*Disclaimer: I am by no means associating my theory with ALL liberals and Democrats. That would make me no better than anyone else and would discredit my entire post. Instead, I am focusing on those who are elected and running the Democratic Party, not the American citizens who register 'D.'*
I hope you enjoy my theory, and while I already can guess what the response I will be receiving to this is, I hope that you can take something away from this. Neither political party is perfect, some would say neither party is good whatsoever. I am not focusing on the Republican Party in this post, while I disagree with a lot that it stands for, I am proud to call myself a member of the GOP, and this post is solely about the Democratic Party.
To truly explain my theory, I will be presenting a linear history of the Democratic Party and then diving into the theory I have developed about how the Democratic Party truly doesn't care about the people. I will begin in 1828 (I told you we were delving into history.) at the election of President Andrew Jackson.
Also, anyone who comments on my Facebook feed telling me to "cite my sources" can hit the backspace key. This blog is ultimately for me to basically splurge what I know onto a word document and share it with people who like reading my stuff. I know where I get my facts from, I do not just make up numbers and throw them on paper. I am not trying to submit this for publishing or for a grade. I am not about to sit on 'Easybib' and create citations for every single source I find. I don't care enough to do that. So if you are truly against my writing or any of the logic/facts I present or have presented in my previous posts, like I said in an earlier piece, "Google it." - Cenk Ugar
After reading D'Souza's book, I really became mesmerized in the history that was presented to me. The Democratic Party started relatively early in American History, and much earlier than the Republican Party. The Democratic Party was founded by former President Andrew Jackson. It is believed that Andrew Jackson is the earliest Democrat, but the party was officially formed under President Martin Van Buren. Both of these Presidents believed in a strong federal government that could help the country. Many Democrats try to claim former President Thomas Jefferson as their founder, however this is just wrong. First off, President Jefferson literally called himself a Republican. Obviously, this isn't proof of anything, but is a silly fact to point out. What really disrupts the Democrat's argument is that Jefferson was extremely against a strong, centralized government. Jefferson ran against Hamilton of the Federalists on a 'state's rights' platform against Hamilton's centralized government platform. Thomas Jefferson is literally quoted as saying, "A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government strong enough to take away everything that you have." This is obviously in regards to taxation, which Jefferson was heavily against, especially since he is quoted as saying this in 1953 during the Revolutionary era in history. (It should be noted that one of the only things Jefferson really has in common with the Democratic Party is abusing their power by having extra-marital affairs with young women. Jefferson had a child with a slave he owned, while former President Bill Clinton stained a certain dress.) Jefferson was by no means a good person, yes he did oppose taxation and a strong federal government, but alas, he did own many slaves. This is wrong, obviously, but it was considered socially acceptable at the time - not that that changes anything whatsoever. But back to the main point, Thomas Jefferson's political beliefs did not match whatsoever to the Democratic Party's core belief system, he just was not the party's founder.
Many Democrats who are embarrassed or just don't know their party's history also try to argue that it was President Franklin D. Roosevelt who founded the party. I mean, he was most certainly a Democrat! However, he was elected in 1932, so does this mean that there were literally no other Democrats before him? That would be absurd. No, the answer is President Andrew Jackson.
Andrew Jackson is the founder of the Democratic Party. Not many want to admit this and I completely understand why. The guy owned over 150 slaves on his giant plantation. It would make sense for the Democrats to resist accepting him as one of their own. Now wait, didn't I say that these same Democrats were quick to accept Thomas Jefferson as their founder, but yet he also owned slaves? Yes I did. Thomas Jefferson isn't known to have nearly exterminated an entire population of Native Americans on the "Trail of Tears." Jefferson in fact, like many other Founding Fathers, actually praised and regarded the Native Americans as their equals. In Jefferson's Notes on the State of Virginia, he regards the Native American's intelligence and integrity. He wanted their land, but was not going to steal it from them. This explains why the Democrats love him. Jefferson too had ways of obtaining the land, he knew the Native Americans were bad with money and went into debt easily, so he could purchase the land rather cheap - which is not immoral, but smart business. Jackson however, was not a good man and was extremely power hungry. He wanted to stay in power and keep his following in power as well. He played the Native Americans as allies, but subtly started pushing them out and selling their land to the white man to make a profit. He kept the impoverished Native Americans close, and used them in order to stay ahead, all the while cheating them in the process. How did he do this? He often times wrote to them as an ally and as a friend. The former President even tried talking like them. In one letter he literally wrote:
"MY FRIENDS: I have long viewed your condition with great interest. For many years I have been acquainted with your people, and under all variety of circumstances, in peace and war. Your fathers were well known to me, and the regard which I cherished for them has caused me to feel great solicitude for your situation. To these feelings, growing out of former recollections, have been added the sanction of official duty, and the relation in which, by the Constitution and laws, I am placed towards you. Listen to me, therefore, as your fathers have listened, while I communicate to you my sentiments on the critical state of your affairs. '.....' I have no motive, my friends, to deceive you. I am sincerely desirous to promote your welfare. Listen to me, therefore, while I tell you that you cannot remain where you now are. Circumstances that cannot be controlled, and which are beyond the reach of human laws, render it impossible that you can flourish in the midst of a civilized community. You have but one remedy within your reach. And that is, to remove to the west and join your countrymen, who are already established there. And the sooner you do this, the sooner you can commence your career of improvement and prosperity. '.......' The choice now is before you. May the Great Spirit teach you how to choose. The fate of your women and children, the fate of your people to the remotest generation, depend upon the issue. Deceive yourselves no longer. Do not cherish the belief that you can ever resume your former political situation, while you continue in your present residence. As certain as the sun shines to guide you in your path, so certain is it that you cannot drive back the laws of Georgia from among you. Every year will increase your difficulties. Look at the condition of the Creeks. See the collisions which are taking place with them. See how their young men are committing depredations upon the property of our citizens, and are shedding their blood. This cannot and will not be allowed. Punishment will follow, and all who are engaged in these offences must suffer. Your young men will commit the same acts, and the same consequences must ensue.
Think then of all these things. Shut your ears to bad counsels. Look at your condition as it now is, and then consider what it will be if you follow the advice I give you.
Your friend,
Signed, ANDREW JACKSON.
Washington, March 16th, 1835."
(Shortened for length purposes)
This is an extremely crucial aspect to the argument that I will be presenting later, so keep this in mind while reading. Jackson pretended to have the Native American's best interests in mind, all the while using them and exploiting them to stay in power and become wealthier than anyone else, he was extremely interested in using the power of a strong centralized government to his advantage.
Andrew Jackson is the founder of the Democratic Party - I literally can not stress this enough, seeing as I've repeated it four times. This is a fact that many refuse to accept, but is a fact no less. Now in order to continue seeing the corruption of the Democratic Party establishment we must move to the Civil War era of history. It is to no one's surprise that the institution of slavery was headed by the government, that is history. While slavery was prominent in the South, due to the high number of plantations in the area, it was a country wide market. Slavery was legal in every state before the Civil War. The plantation owners were rich, they were the politicians, the business owners, the elite. They were the Democrats. Republicans praise Abraham Lincoln as their party's founder, and he was. Abraham Lincoln founded the Republican Party as a way to end slavery. He, along with all Republicans believed that all men were created equal, and all men should be given the opportunity to make something of themselves. Lincoln opposed the government institution of slavery and fought to end it. The South fought to preserve it.
Many Republicans tend to defend the South's role in the Civil War as fighting to preserve "State's Rights." While that may be true, the South did operate on an evil ideology. It was one that allowed racism to become mainstream in America's culture. Poor white men, who didn't own slaves, still fought for the Confederacy. Why? They didn't own slaves and got nothing from the war other than their state government being in control. It was because of racism. A poor, unintelligent, white man, in this society, was still superior to an intelligent, put together black man. That is why the poor white folk of the South ultimately took up arms against the North in my opinion. It had very little to do with State's rights and all to do with preserving the institution of slavery and racism. Everyone wants to be superior, and why allow the government to change that? The Civil War was not truly fought over state's rights, but instead on preserving slavery. To say otherwise is a Republican's attempt to whitewash history and defend themselves against liberals. This is stupid on their part because they don't need to do this. The South wasn't made up of Republicans. It was made up of Democrats.
The South was liberal and the North was conservative? I'm sure people reading this think I'm just making stuff up to try to prove a stupid theory, but it is true. Just look back at past elections. Before FDR, Republicans controlled the North and Democrats controlled the South. California was a red state for years and Texas went blue! Lincoln founded the GOP as a way to abolish slavery. Yes, Democrats are correct in the assumption that Lincoln wanted a strong central government. However, this was in order to abolish slavery and stay true to the Declaration of Independence. The reason Lincoln chose to become a Republican was because he believed fully in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution - something that Republicans today still believe in. Liberals tend to take the Declaration and the Constitution rather loosely and believe that they are "living, breathing documents." Lincoln, like other Constitutional Conservatives, believe they are the laws of the land. He fought to preserve these ancient documents, and would cross ideological lines in order to do so. Lincoln believed in individualism - the idea that any man can make something of himself, by himself. While he used the power of government to free slaves, he believed in allowing the people to be free of government. He is a Republican because of a one small sentence: Lincoln was Republican because, he believed people were their best, when they were free.
The South thought otherwise. The United States fought a bloody war over this specific topic. Who should be free, who should be enslaved under the power of the government. Ultimately, it was the North who won and and the South was in ruins. The North prospered under the free market and industrial revolution, while the Southern economy was shot. Once Lincoln was assassinated, the man who took over was Andrew Johnson, a Democrat from North Carolina. He opposed nearly every civil rights and reconstruction initiative Lincoln had started implementing after the war. He was radically for segregation and other forms of racism. That was literally what unified a broken party after the war: racism. Federal troops were sent in to the South under Lincoln to ensure that reconstruction occurred. Due to this, hundreds of African Americans were elected into Southern State Legislature and by 1900, 22 black Republicans served in Congress. A black Democrat was not elected into Congress until 1935. After Lincoln's assassination, President Johnson sent federal troops back to the North and racism prevailed once more. The South used the power of government to impose racist laws on African Americans and gave rise to hate groups such as the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK was formed under the Democratic Party by Nathan Bedford Forrest, in the 1860's. They used fear and violence to force people to vote Democrat in order to preserve their white supremacy. The KKK is notoriously Democratic, in fact, after FDR's death, President Harry S. Truman (a Democrat) was a KKK member. And Democratic President Woodrow Wilson showed "A Birth of a Nation" at the White House - a KKK propaganda film. The KKK tried to have the Democratic Party to use the power of a strong government to enslave blacks, and create white supremacy. According to historian Eric Foner, a self-proclaimed Democrat, "The KKK was a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party." They used fear and violence to force individuals to vote Democrat.
The true Republican Party was never a party of racism and bigotry. The Donald Trump "alt-right" has attempted to taint our Party as well as the Progressive News Media. In this section I will give specific examples of how exactly the Democratic Party Establishment is the epitome of racism. This is a long section and every example can be found on the Library of Congress' website and in the book Hillary's America. Republican Booker T. Washington was called out by Democratic Senator Bill Tillman for dining with Republican President Teddy Roosevelt. Tillman said, "Now that Roosevelt has eaten with that n***** Washington, we shall have to kill a thousand n****** to get them back in their place." Progressive Margaret Sanger (founder of the liberal's critically acclaimed Planned Parenthood morgue) sought to exude her racist views with her "Negro Project." This was aimed at lowering and killing the black population. Almost every segregation law was passed by Democratic legislatures, signed by Democratic governors, and other heads. It was literally made and sustained by Democrats. FDR excluded blacks from most of the New Deal legislation and blocked anti-lynching legislation. FDR's closest ally, Theodore Bilbo, D.C.'s leader, is quoted to have said, "The n***** would never vote in Washington. ...... if we gave 'em the right to vote up there, half the n****** in the South will move to Washington and we'll have a black government." President JFK toured Germany and praised Hitler as a "legend." Speaking of Hitler, his forced sterilization policies were actually based upon Margaret Sanger's "Negro Project." He just replaced African Americans with Jews. According to the Office of War Information, FDR actually praised Mussolini in the 1930's, who in turn considered FDR to be a fantastic fascist. The king of racism himself, Lyndon Johnson, saw the Civil Rights Act as a means to "keep the n****** down on the Democratic plantation." (But I forgot, "all Republicans are racist.")
Now we get to my theory:
Where did the flip occur then? Why is it that today the majority of Democrats are voting "Democrat" in cities in the North and Republicans are voting "Republican" in the South? Just looking at today's political map, it would seem that the Republicans were the South and the Democrats were the North. However, this is wrong. The parties switched sometime before FDR became President. Now I don't mean what many claim - that the parties switched platforms - but that they switched locations. Think about it, after the Civil War the South is super poor. The slave owners have no business, and lose their money. They take whatever money they have (they're still rich) and move to the wealthier areas - the North. This means that you have a ton of African Americans and poor whites in the South. Now, while you have numerous Democratic attempts to stop racial integration, you nonetheless have it. The South rebuilds and the people get increasingly more and more wealthy. Since the slave industry is gone, people have to work on their own, and the poor white Americans who didn't have these jobs prior, now do. The Industrial Revolution occurs and you have people working. It is accepted by both parties that the wealthier individuals get, the more conservative they become, hence why the GOP is always belittled as being the party of the rich. The South gets wealthier and the people get wealthier, so they start to wish for less taxation, and more freedom to do what they please with their money. They become more and more Republican. The South slowly turns red - which didn't even come to total fruition until President Ronald Reagan (this should tell you just how long it took). The North however, is already wealthy and has a ton of Republicans. If you look back at my first blog post, I explain how when rebuilding occurs, it spurs business growth. A lot of these Northern Republicans moved down to the South to start business. The Republicans that stayed however, kept their businesses there. The South became super conservative due to the increase in wealth in the area. Now we have a Republican South - they want less government interaction so they can do what they please with their newfound money. Due to segregation laws, the African Americans in the country were forced away into small pockets in the inner cities throughout the country. Those who fled during the Civil War were also forced here as well. Cities like Harlem, Detroit, Chicago, New York City, etc.
The Democrats needed a re-branding. Progress was hurting them, and racial equality was not stopping, no matter how hard they tried. They relied on FDR to save them. Instead of trying to stay in power by keeping away the African Americans, they decided instead to win them over. FDR created the New Deal as a way to create entitlement programs to "help the poor." The poor in this case, was the incredibly impoverished African Americans living in the slums of the largest cities in the United States. They needed assistance, or else they would be homeless and starve. So they turned to FDR and happily accepted his handouts. They relied on FDR and praised him as their hero. Government entitlement programs were merely put in place to raise them out of poverty, so they could then get jobs and live life. However, it's 2017 and the inner cities are still predominantly African American and they're still poor. This is not right. That's because the welfare system was never meant to bring people out of poverty, but to keep them impoverished. It is nearly impossible to step out of poverty in America and I blame the welfare program. It keeps these people poor and keeps them reliant on government handouts. As I explained in my economics blog post, Republicans are against this and want to be able to give these poor the tools necessary to succeed. The Democrats don't. Instead, they keep the poor impoverished and give them small handouts to make them reliant on Democratic leaders, and more importantly, it keeps them voting Democrat. Why is it that the cities with the largest poor populations have been notoriously Democrat for decades? Chicago, Detroit, NYC, LA, etc. All Democratically controlled for decades (ever wonder why it's basically only cities that Democrats are in? Now you know why. Just look at how Trump won the election, even though Clinton won the popular vote - she won the large Democratic cities where the people most affected by these programs are enslaved and lost nearly everywhere else.). The poor have stayed poor for decades. It is because of the Democrat's segregationist laws and then their enslavement of the poor in these entitlement programs. It is a process that has been in place since the founding of our country - look back at the example of the Democratic Party's founder Andrew Jackson and his dealings with the Native Americans. The Democrats try their best to force Americans to vote for them and keep them in power. Whether that's stealing and selling it off for votes, or creating terrorist groups like the KKK to threaten people to vote Democrat, or giving Americans a sense of false hope and making them reliant on Democratic control. However you look at it, the Democratic Party is the Party of hate. The establishment always has been. Just look at a current example. Bernie Sanders is an independent. He ran for President and amassed a huge following. However, the DNC (the establishment) was discovered to have rigged the primary election in favor of Hillary Clinton. This is corruption. This it the Democratic Party.
The Democrats try hard to hide this from the People. Most Americans don't think that the Democrats are to blame for a lot of these things. I sure didn't either, until I really started reading a lot more into it. This is because Democrats 'whitewash' history. Whether that is erasing Andrew Jackson from their party, and replacing him on the $20 bill and instead replacing him with a black woman who is a civil rights icon, or instead of blaming their flawed party for the destruction of the Civil War, they blame the South. Even though most of the South wasn't really that involved. They blame America for all of the problems in the country and refuse to blame themselves for it. The racism in this country is automatically pushed back as Republicans faults, even though we fight for everyone's rights and individualism. All in all, the Democratic Party establishment breeds evil and hate. They control the media and show people the 'party of the people.' They show how the Democrats help the poor and are there for minorities and are out to make the rich "pay their fair share!" Even though the poor stay poor and get more poor under their control, and most of the Democratic establishment is the rich who aren't paying their fair share (The Clinton's have made over $250 million in the last 15 years, with Hillary Clinton having a net worth of upwards to $53 million).
This blog was in no ways calling out the registered Democrats or the outspoken liberals in America. They are not the enemy. Nor am I saying that the Republican Party is perfect and completely good. No, this entire article was to point out the dark truth about the Democratic Party's establishment - those who control the party and the country. Now the last half of this article is purely my theory. It is in no ways correct, just like any other theory. What is unable to be denied however, is the history that was presented. Everything is from numerous historical websites and resources, such as the Library of Congress, and numerous writings. I took most of the beginning history from the D'Souza book I rely on throughout the post. Some of the facts I explain about the history are also presented in the book with citations there. If interested, feel free to read the book - I loved it. The second half of my post is based upon the theories of Ben Shapiro, Dinsesh D'Souza, Ted Cruz, and Rand Paul. I have combined them all into my own distinct theory from the four individuals. While I do not believe the Democrats in the country are as bad as D'Souza claims, I do believe that the establishment has always been an organization of hate and intolerance. Honestly, it wouldn't be fair to call it intolerance. I don't believe the Democratic establishment cares enough for intolerance. I think they work and they perform these corrupt acts throughout history in order to stay in power, and don't care about anything else. It is an extremely Machiavellian approach that I believe the establishment uses (which in my opinion is the most effective) in order to stay in control.
This country needs to fight back against this establishment. Democrats should wake up and realize this kind of corruption that their party is hosting and take control of it instead. Clean the house of the Democratic Party and replace is with true hardworking and honest Americans. This isn't about political affiliation, but about doing what is right. We need to end the corruption and instead work on creating a more prosperous America. That starts with discovering the Dark History of the Democratic Party.
God Bless America.
